Outside the apartment.
That boy is already 16 minutes to late. I started to send him a text message that he has to hurry up, before I run inside and drag him outside, done or not. After I sent the text, I tapped on top of my steering wheel.
Seconds after the message he ran outside the building, dressed like a diva but still normal. He opened the door and got in.
“Sorry, Jungsu. I couldn’t decide what to wear,” he apologizes, looking down at the floor.
“I’m not mad. But now I’ve to drive really hard,” I stated and drove away from the small parking lot, next to the street. You should know that I’m not the best driver around town. “I’m so nervous,” Key said after some seconds. “You shouldn’t be. They won’t bite,” I said, smiling to him.
We drove awhile and ended up at the building of the party, it’s in an apartment of one of the other guys. We got out of the car and walked inside.
“Are you sure this is a good plan?”
We got in the lift, together with one of the other guys that was invited. I remember him from somewhere. Finally I remembered his name.
“Junsu! Don’t you remember me? Jungsu? Hyukjae’s friend…”
“Jungsu! Buddy! I haven’t seen you in such a long time!” the guy said clapping hands with me. It’s good to see old people from school or just from parties. We got on the floor, chatting happily with each other.
“Jaejoong is also here,” Junsu stated when they walked inside the party, were the music was playing.
“Wait I get him!” Junsu said, disappearing in the crowd of people. I looked to my side and saw how Key was looking like a lost kitten. I wrapped an arm around his shoulder, making him look at him.
“Cheer up, kiddo!” I said but it seems that it was a wrong statement.
Junsu came back with not only Jaejoong but also his long lover, Yunho.
“Jungsu! You’re still alive!” he said hugging me tightly. I missed these kids after high school. They were together in our close group of friends.
“Jungsu,” Yunho said, at first just giving me a hand but then I pulled him closer and hugged him for a while. “I’ve a boyfriend, remember?”
“Sorry Jaejoong but you know I love to hug him,” I said with a stupid smirk plastered on my face. “Jungsu…your pretty boy ran off,” Junsu said, making me aware that I wasn’t paying any attention to Key.
“Where is he?”
“I don’t know? Check the balcony?”
With that I skipped backwards, turning to my side and pushed everybody out of my way, in order to find Key. And like Junsu guessed, he was standing on the balcony, staring in the dark night sky. I opened the door and went outside, ending up next to him.
“Sorry I left you,” I mumbled guilty and looked down at my feet, not that they were interesting at that moment but I couldn’t find another point of fix on when I was next to him.
“It’s nothing. You can hang around with your friends,” he whispered in a shaky voice when he looked for a second at me but then back into the sky. For that split second, I think I saw some tears in his eyes, ready to fall.
“But…I came here with you so.”
“Who wants me Jungsu? I’m a filthy, ugly, dumb prostitute that ran away from home to chase his tears. See where I ended, in an apartment with 3 more guys and heroine al around me. Nobody wants me!”
I sighed deeply when I heard this. Does he really think that low of himself all the time? When I sang the some random text once on his bed, I think I meant it for real. How to put it…I think I love this boy. In 6months I didn’t feel anything like this, until I saw him. His high cheekbones, his feline eyes, his cute nose and perfectly shaped lips…everything was better then I could wish for.
“No, Jungsu! I’m not! Look at me…I’m a filthy junkie. Why did you take me here in the first place? Everybody here is…perfect, has high job and me…”
“Key…you are one of the most beautiful persons I ever met…There must be someone that you like or someone who loves you,” I said, pleading to him so he won’t get any weird thoughts now. With the last part of my pleading, I hoped that person would be me. Only me.
“Yes, I love somebody but yet I think he won’t like me…even though we see each other a lot,” he whispered, looking down over the balustrade to the street where cars were passing by.
Somewhere deep inside my body, it felt like he was speaking about me as the person that won’t like him.
“J-Jungsu I…I think…I…l-love you,” he stammered, looking into the sky where the stars were twinkling brightly.
I chuckled when I heard those words. Oh come on he is so cute.
But then I became serious again, taking deep breathes. I better ask this now or I won’t have a second chance.
“Be my boyfriend.”
And at that time it felt like the world stopped for a while. Only us. We were the last persons on the world and I stepped closer to him.
“Are y-you sure?”
“One-hundred and one pre cent.”
He was turned toward me; we stood so close that our bodies touched each other while I was losing myself in those dark brown feline eyes. I leaned closer to him, tilting my head a bit to the side before I slightly touched his upper lip. He was so startled at first, his eyes were wide open and he was a bit pulling back. Then I closed my eyes, waiting for a response that came in the end.
It felt so amazing. His perfect lips on mine while his hands were searching for the best place to stay, which were in the end my shoulders.
My hand was stroking his soft cheek and the other was on his back, pulling him a bit closer to my own body.
Our kiss was sweet and gentle, nowhere was a trace of pure want or something like that. A thing that happened when, he dances at the club with all those men around him.
I let go of him, opening my eyes while I was straightening my back again. He is really an adorable young man when he was like that, frozen in his spot and a slight blush spread upon his cheeks.
“Don’t you think it’s disgusting?” he spoke up again, opening his eyes, the cute boy was gone.
“What? Kissing you?” he nodded to my question. “You’re perfect, remember?” I whispered in his ear before placing a kiss on his forehead. “I love you, Key.”
